Bulldogs win home opener 5-2 over #3 Monroe Central

Bulldogs grabbed an early lead on its way to a 5-2 victory over Monroe Central on Monday. Bulldogs scored on a sacrifice fly by Zach Thompson and a single by Jamari Pamplin in the first inning.

Jacob Crowe was credited with the victory for Bulldogs. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two and walking zero. Logan Drook threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Drook recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Bulldogs.

Ashton Bandy took the loss for Monroe Central. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five.

Javontae Pamplin went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bulldogs in hits. Bulldogs was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Thompson had the most chances in the field with eight.

Monroe Central tallied seven hits on the day. Joel Kennedy and Blake Bogue each had multiple hits for Monroe Central.
