Lady Red Devils win their last regular season match

The Lady Devils did very well on their last match of the 2021 golf season winning a double against Muncie Central & New Castle.

Richmond scored 170 to the Bearcat’s 198 & New Castle was only able to field 2 golfers for the match. The Red Devils were lead by Medalist Senior Esther Etherington’s 41 (4 pars) and was supported by a trio of 43s from Senior Macky Laughlin (3 pars), Junior Zoe Brock (3 pars), & Sophomore Isabella Roll (2 pars) Sophomore Lauren Freeman added a 49 (2 pars).

In JV action Senior Molly Mendenhall’s 43 tied for 2nd lowest score of all participating golfers and had the lone birdie for the squad on #9 along with 2 pars. Senior Landrea Arnold had a 49 (1 par) and Freshman Havanna Harris’s 54 (1 par) rounded out scoring for the evening.

It was emotional evening for the squad as many parents and supporters came out to cheer them on.

The Lady Devils begin the post season with defending their conference title at the NCC Tournament on Monday at the Trophy Club in Lebanon and then Sectionals next Friday at home at the Richmond Elks.

Nice work Lady Devils and congrats on a great season. Let’s finish the post season strong Players!
