Richmond’s Etherington shoots 39 to earn medalist honors versus Connersville

The Lady Devils get a victory over Connersville in their first home match of the season. RHS won 178 to 213 during the overcast evening on the back 9 of the Richmond Elks. Senior Esther Etherington’s 39 was low medalist and a display of consistently as she had 7 pars in the 9 hole event. She was supported via all Richmond golfers beating their counterparts in the match. Other Red Devils scores included Sophomore Isabella Roll’s 44 (3 pars), Junior Zoe Brock’s 45 (3 pars), Macky Laughlin’s 50 (1 birdie), & Lauren Freeman’s 50 (3 pars). In JV action Senior Molly Mendenhall’s 50 (1 par) and Senior Landrea Arnold’s 55 (1 par) topped their Sparten competitors. In the practice round were Freshman Havanna Harris’s 62 and Sophomore Marianna Rivas’s 70.

Overall the scores weren’t where they wanted them to be but they were enough to get the victory.

RHS plays next against New Palestine on Wednesday, September 8th and then wraps up match play with a double match against New Castle and Muncie Central on Thursday, September 9th. Both home events.
