Newman throws shutout as #8 Bulldogs roll past Knightstown 10-0

Centerville Baseball traveled to Knightstown on Monday evening in an early week TEC matchup. Centerville coming in at 10-2 and undefeated in the TEC was looking to hold off the Panthers as they continue their quest to TEC Championship.

Cameron Newman took the mound for the Bulldogs as they looked to stay perfect in the TEC. Things started great for Newman as he shut down 9 of the first 10 batters in the ball game. A shaky start to the bottom of the fourth inning where the bases were loaded with no outs, but Newman kept his composure and pitched his way out of it without giving up any runs. Newman pitched 5 innings, gave up 3 hits, 0 earned runs, and 7 strikeouts. Cameron now moves to 3-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA.

The Bulldogs bats stayed hot as well as they had 10 total team hits, and got things started in the Top of the 1st when they never looked back. Bryce Roberston and Alex Wandersee both had solid days at the plate, and both drove in 2 runs each. Jacob Crowe, Zach Thompson, & Jamari Pamplin all drove in one run for the Bulldogs as well. The bats keep clicking as the Bulldogs now move to 11-2 on the season as they are set to take on Connersville on Wednesday!
