Lady Bulldogs go yard five times as they defeat Knightstown 15-9

Centerville Lady Bulldogs were looking to get back on track on Monday night when they took on conference foe Knightstown. After a bad taste in their mouths from a loss Saturday at the Wayne County Tourney, the Lady Bulldogs popped off with 21 hits, 5 homeruns, and scoring 15 runs.

The bats were clicking for the Lady Bulldogs as they tallied 5 home runs on the evening. Centerville’s Bri Shepherd led the way going 3 for 5 with a 2B, 2 homers, and 4 RBI’s. This was a step in the right direction for one of the Lady Bulldogs two seniors, as they try to get the Lady Bulldogs back on track in the conference race and as the State Tournament approaches. Drew Tubesing also had a big day at the plate going 4 for 5, 2B, HR, and 3 RBI’s. Morgan Clark went 4 for 4, HR, and 4 RBI’s. Shae Bennett found her swing as she went deep going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Centerville now 5-5 on the season will take on Hagerstown on Wednesday at 5pm!
