The Centerville Bulldogs Boys Basketball team traveled to North Decatur on Wednesday for their one day tournament. The Bulldogs had an early start to their day as they took on North Decatur at 10:30am.
Centerville and North Decatur went back and forth all game long, but it was the Chargers pulling away in the final seconds 61-59. Centerville’s Austin Farlow broke the schools record for three pointers made in a career early in this matchup. Farlow now has well over the school record of 186, and will continue to grow the new record throughout the rest of this season. The Bulldogs were led in this matchup by Austin Farlow with 24 points. Other contributors for the Bulldogs were Keegan Schlotterbeck with 15 points and Ryan Dickenson with 7 points.
The Bulldogs had a long wait for the 3rd place game as it wasn’t until 6pm when they took on Rising Sun. After a close first half, the Bulldogs pulled away defeating the Shiners with a score 63-52. Austin Farlow led the way for the Dogs with 16 points. Other contributors include Keegan Schlotterbeck with 13 points and Ryan Dickenson/Avery McCoy both with 9 points.
Centerville moves to 2-5 on the season, and will now turn their attention to the Wayne County Tourney where they will take on the Lincoln Golden Eagles! Game time is 7:30pm on January 6th, 2021!
