The Richmond Red Devils football team lost a hard fought NCC battle on Friday night at Indianapolis Arsenal Tech.
It was a hard fought matchup on both sides Friday night, as both teams came out ready to play. The first quarter was back and forth as both teams couldn’t find the end zones. The score after one was 0-0. Arsenal Tech struck first in the second quarter with a touchdown. They rode their 6-0 lead over Richmond into the half. The Red Devils then struck the scoreboard in the 3rd as they took a 7-6 lead over Tech. Then with just under 8 minutes to play Tech kicked a field goal to take a 9-7 lead over Richmond. Then with 4:39 left in the 4th, Tech struck again with a touchdown taking a 15-7 lead. The Red Devils only trailing by one possession couldn’t quite get it to the end zone as they fell 15-7 to Tech.
The Red Devils moved to 0-2 on the year. They will hit the road again next week as they will travel to take on Muncie Central in another NCC matchup.
