Hagerstown Falls To Union City 34-27

The Hagerstown Tigers Football team fell Friday night 34-27 to Tri-Eastern Conference opponent Union City.

The Tigers got out in front early as they lead the Indians 14-6 after the first quarter. The then got out to a 21-6 advantage over the Indians. Then the Indians scored 15 straight points to close the half knotting us all up at 21-21 at the break. Both teams battled tough in the third quarter as the defenses set the tone. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter until we saw more points put on the board. It was Union City who struck first taking a 28-21 lead in the fourth. Then Hagerstown answered back cutting the Indians lead to 1 as they trailed 28-27. Hagerstown then had the ball with a chance to come down the field and take the lead. The Indians intercepted a pass by the Tigers, and ran it all the way back for a touchdown, giving the Indians a 34-27 lead over the Tigers. This took us to our final score of Union City – 34 and Hagerstown – 27.

The Hagerstown Tigers (0-3) will be back in action next Friday when they host Union County (1-1) in another Tri-Eastern Confernce matchup. The Union City Indians (1-1) will take on Knightstown (2-0) next Friday night.
