The Centerville Bulldogs Football team is off to a great start in their 2020 campaign. The Bulldogs are now 2-0 on the year after defeating the Hagerstown Tigers 56-0.
The Bulldogs started this game much like they did last week with a bang. The defense got a huge stop on Hagerstown’s first position, and that was the momentum the team needed to get started. Devin Frazier got the scoring started for the Bulldogs as he took one in from 25 yards out. After another stop by the defense, Ryan Dickenson broke a big 54 yard run for a touchdown. His sixth total touchdown on the year. The Bulldogs defense forced the Tigers over on downs, leading to a Jamari Pamplin 27 yard touchdown run. This was his first on the day. The Bulldogs led 21-0 at the end of quarter one.
The Bulldogs and Tigers started slow in the early part of the second quarter as the teams traded punts back and forth. Then after another Bulldogs stop, Jamari Pamplin took another one in from 38 yards out. The Bulldogs special teams and defense came up big again as the Tigers were forced to punt. It was then, Javontae Pamplin got his second rushing touchdown on the season from 30 yards out increasing the Bulldogs lead to 35-0. Then as halftime was approaching the Bulldogs struck again as Jamari Pamplin scored from 24 yards out. That gave the Bulldogs a 42-0 advantage at the break.
The third quarter started and ended just as quickly as it seemed to get started. Neither team could get anything going in the third with the clock running. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter where the Bulldogs found their rushing game again when Jamari Pamplin broke another 33 yard touchdown run. This being his fourth on the day, and he wasn’t finished yet. After another Bulldog’s defensive stop, the Bulldogs took over on offense again, and made another impressive drive before Jamari Pamplin capped off his five touchdown night taking one in from 39 yards out. Thus giving the Bulldogs a 56-0 final score.
